Hey folks, just wanted to let you know that I've been doing Facebook Live video's and saving them to the page. Mostly from gigs on River Street over the past year. Just click on the Facebook symbol here on the page and there ya have it. Happy New Year!!! And thank you for your continued support.

Friends, my new CD, "Music Is My Medicine" will officially be released at Unity of Savannah on Friday October 13th. Will have my friends the Reverend Dale Worley, Tony Richards, and Rochelle Coatney playing with me and hope you will come and celebrate with us!

Friday October 13th 7pm
Unity of Savannah

2320 Sunset Blvd
Savannah GA

It is hard to believe it has been a year since the last post. Gotta work on that. Anyway, the year is well under way and the gigs are a plenty. New dates for March have been posted, and be on the lookout for more dates soon!

Thank you to Dave Lake for this great video! Myself on Cigar Box guitar, Rochelle Coatney on drums, and Ryan Sylvester on the bass. Tybee Post Theater 3-20-2016.

See the video HERE

Folks we are gonna be on the main stage on River Street not once, but 3 times! Come down and celebrate Saint Patty'd Day with us. AND then "Tybee City Limits"!!! This is a new thing at the Tybee Post Theater. This is a "showcase" so you can expect some originals at this one. Yes. Cigar Box. and yes, we gonna chop some wood.

Yes, in today's world you gotta stay ahead of the game. 2015 has been a great year, and already dates have started coming in for 2016. I have not been playing as often this year, but am being more selective about where I play and where the Trio performs. So when you come to see me or the Trio, you can be sure that we are in a comfortable spot, and that we can "do what we do," without limitations that are sometimes involved in restaurants and bars. In other words, we only play the cool places that we like.

I want to thank Russell Swinger(drums) and Tony Richards(bass) for being so dedicated to what we are doing musically. We have played together for years now, and it feels as if we are only beginning to go the places we want to go musically. It is nice to look forward to it. AND a special shout out to John Trani who has filled in on bass a couple of times when Tony hasn't been able to be there. Trani you do a great job of holding down the fort my brother.

We'll see ya out there in magic land.

I am proud to announce that this year, I accepted an offer to be music director at Unity of Savannah! This has been a wonderful experience thus far, and I look forward to all the fun times ahead.

This does mean that I am no longer doing late gigs on Saturday nights, and that, along with lots of private events, leave not many chances to see the Trio this summer. So you can bet that when Tony and Russell and I get together, we will be playing for keeps! (please see calendar page for dates)

Also, I am still hosting open mic at Molly MacPhersons Scottish Pub in POOLER every Tuesday from 7-10, and you are invited to come and play. We have some great acts showing up from all around the area, and hope you will join us too.

Thank you for your support and remember, "Love wins every time!"

Every Tuesday from 7-10 at Molly McPherson's in Pooler Georgia U.S.A. Come on out and get your fifteen minutes of fame! Low key, no pressure, and you'll be surprised by some incredible local talent.

You may have noticed that I have slowed down over the summer this year, and this is a bit unusual. However, several of my regular venues have shut down, and I have left certain venues by my own choice. New places, new faces, and don't be fooled, I am working on a lot of new songs to play for you this fall. Heck, August looks good and the fall is going to be slammed with gigs. Come out and see us and say hello, and dance your tail off :)

Just updated the calendar page with dates through April, and May will soon be up. Dates are filling up fast, so get in touch with me ASAP because 2014 is turning out to be a busy one. EVERY WEDNESDAY @ DOC'S BAR Tybee Island see Georgia Kyle from 7-10

The CD release party at Unity of Savannah was incredible. We had a wonderful crowd, and I cannot tell you how blessed I felt that night. There was a lot of love in that room, and I cannot say "THANK YOU" enough.

I can safely say now that the new CD will be here in September, and I will have them at all shows. Hope they will be ready before I head to Tennessee, but if not, they will be ready for the party on September 21st. All the details are on the calendar page, and I look forward to seeing you all very soon!

We have the rough mixes of the new CD, and the title will be "One Human Family". Very excited about this project, and to see this new accomplishment moving along. This will be my 9th cd since 1995, and they keep on getting better every time! We are planning a cd release party in Savannah in September, so stay tuned here for details as they come.

As always, thank you!

Yes the summer is upon us and it is going to hit big :) I will be here in Savannah for the most part this summer, but do we have plans for the Fall? Of yes. You will want to check out the latest blog :)

Thank you as always for your support!

What: Georgia Kyle opening reception for "One Nation Under God"
Where: The Star Land Cafe 11 East 41st St. Savannah GA
When: Friday February 1st from 6-9 p.m.

Everyone is invited to attend the opening reception! This show, titled "One Nation Under God" is a collection of what I consider to be my finest art work to date, and I am very excited to show at the Star Land Cafe. You will see 30 pieces of original artwork by yours truly, and a majority of them are brand new. After the reception, the art will hang in the cafe for the entire month of February, so if you can't make the reception, please stop by at your leisure. The folks at the Star Land are really awesome, and will be catering the reception. That's right, free food and refreshments shall be served!

Please come and celebrate this with me!

As always, thank you for supporting artists and musicians everywhere!

The state of Georgia has lost a treasure. Precious Bryant passed away of the 12th day of January, 2013. If you know me, and have seen me play very much, you know "Don't Let the Devil Ride", and "Last Time", and "Black Rat Swing", each of these I learned from Precious. Listening to her cd's or hearing her live, was just like I imagine Heaven to be. Blissful and real. Realer than real. HERE is a link to a great tribute article from the Columbus newspaper. R.I.P. dear Precious.

Thank you for such a wonderful year! This has been one of the most productive years ever for me, and 2013 is going to be even more productive. Ryan and Russell and I (aka the Magical Flying Machine) will be doing some recording in January, and hope to have a new cd available in the spring.

I look forward to seeing you out there at a gig, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

You can now download your copy of Get Down Glory online! Just go HERE.

As always, thank you very much for your support!

We got more copies of "Get Down Glory", and have now run out of "Open Spaces", which is the new meditation cd. More of those on the way too! We had some troubles with the on-line store, but hope to get that resolved soon.

This has already been such an amazing year, and we aren't even half way through yet! Charleston, Greenville, Charlotte, and of course the wonderful folks here in Savannah, ... you all make life worth living! I will be in Savannah for the summer save for a trip to Orlando in August, and then hope to travel a lot this Fall, bringing the SPIRIT blues and meditation with me to a town near you.

We are posting my entire schedule here, including meditation sessions, so I will do my best to keep it up to date and correct. Can't wait to see you out there somewhere!

For those of you interested in my workshop "From Busy Mind to Meditation", please visit SPIRIT.

Well, almost sold out! We went through the first run of "Get Down Glory" in a hurry, and have ordered another box! THANK YOU for your kind and generous support!!! We have sold a fair amount of the new meditation CD "Open Spaces" as well! It has been so busy, that we haven't gotten them up for sale on-line yet, but we still have plans to do that in the near future.

The calendar page is up to date and filling up fast! We are doing our best to stay on top of this, so you will always be able to find me. It is always a good idea to call ahead to the venue, as mistakes and double bookings, (and most recently the flu) do happen. I will be playing mostly around Savannah, but have confirmed trips to Greenville, Charlotte, Charleston, and Orlando.

Thank you for your support!

Well folks, the "Get Down Glory" tour of 2012 is in full swing, and I am doing my best to keep the calendar updated, as dates are confirmed. I will be playing mostly around Savannah, but will be venturing off into SC and NC, with plans to do more of that later in the year.

All dates are clearly marked "SOLO" or "Magical Flying Machine". Solo is me by myself, and MFM is Ryan Sylvester on bass, Brother Russ on drums, and yours truly on vocals and electric guitar.

CIGAR BOX GUITAR is at every gig solo, or band :) Please make plans to come and see me soon, and I will let you know when the new cd is available on-line. It should be soon.

Thank you for your continued support!

You are listening to my new cd "Get Down Glory", right now!

"No Coke In My Whiskey", "Feelin' Kind of Blue", and "Ramblin' Gamblin' Blues" were all recorded by Jeff Beasley, here in Savannah, and these recordings were on last year's internet release "An Angel and A Devil",which is now unavailable. All the rest of these tracks were recorded by Sterling Martin in Richmond Hill Georgia. Some of these songs were on "An Angel and A Devil", but these are new recordings.

We will have copies for sale at all shows, and will have it available on the web real soon. Thank you for your support!

We will have the new cd at all solo and Magical Flying Machine shows, and soon it will be available on the web! Hope to see you soon, and thank you for your continued support!

2011 brought more changes in my life than any one year ever has, and all the changes have been GREAT! 2012 is already shaping up to be a break out year, with a new CD on the way, and plans to play all around the southeast, both solo, and with my band "The Magical Flying Machine". My new solo cd has already been recorded and mastered and is awaiting art work, and we are planning on recording the band in the near future.

To anyone who would happen to stop by here and read this, Happy Holidays to you and your family, and thank you for your support!

See ya next year!

Hello and a Happy New Year to you all! Planning on playing a lot of music to a lot of people, and painting a lot of paintings this year, and I want to thank you all for being a part of my world!

Just posted the music schedule for Jan-Feb-March 2010. Hope to see you soon!

This is my first music video! My friend John Baer shot it on Tybee Island, Georgia, in August of this year. You will want to hit "STOP" on the music player above, and then click on this link! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96MPFlwHmlU Tony Richards-bass, Paul Cooper- drums, Georgia Kyle- vox and guitar

Hey folks! Recently, I went over to my friend Jeff Beasley's studio, and recorded a demo of some songs for a possible future CD. Have posted them all here! They will play through automatically, or you can go to the music section, and listen as you please. Three of the tunes were on my last solo CD "Live @ Cafe Loco, but I wanted studio cuts of them. All the rest are new tunes. Please enjoy, and leave your comments in the guest book! As always, THANKS for your support! Kyle
Played 24 times in July, and am scheduled as of now, to play about the same number of gigs in August! You know I love my guitar, so lots of gigs is GREAT! Have been getting ready to record a new CD of original songs, that will be a very lightly produced recording. Perhaps some harmony, and bass, and a bit of percussion, but very striped down, and I will record my parts live :) Also, for you out of town folks who come to town to see me, don't be surprised at my new electric blues trio! Me on electric guitar, Tony Richards on bass, and we have several different drummers that we are working with. I love all kinds of music, and miss the Bluegrass,(Marshgrass!!!) but i just had to have a change, and the trio just "happened", like everything else in my life does. I hope to still do some shows with my Bluegrass friends, but for now, it's all about the Blues baby! Also, I took the "Guest Book" down for about a year, because of so many spammers, but have put it back up now. Feel free to drop me a line, and please, if you haven't already, sign up on my mailing list! Hope to see you soon! Georgia Kyle
my good pal Jason Phillips, made the design for me, and here are the shirts! Something for the guys AND the gals! just visit http://www.cafepress.com/georgiakyle
I am now taking students for guitar lessons! Learn finger-style, bluegrass, rock, whatever you want :) e-mail kyle@georgiakyle.com OR call 912-604-3762 to set up a lesson.
2008 was another great and busy year here in Savannah. I'd like to thank all the folks who keep me working, and support live local music! Let's hope for a great 2009! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
"Georgia" Kyle was recently voted "Best Local Musician" by the readers of the Tybee Breeze! Thanks to all of you who voted for me, and who have supported me for the past 5 years! It was an honor to recieve this award!
"Georgia" Kyle Shiver and Fiddlin' Scott Holton have been playing together for a year and a half now, and are celebrating their musical friendship by releasing a CD together this summer! The CD will contain songs recorded by Jeff Bullins at Savannah College of Art and Design, as well as a few tracks recorded at Elevated Basement studios, and a live track recorded at Tybee Island's Cafe Loco. The CD is finished, and we hope to have them ready and for sale before Labor Day.
A big thanks to the Marshgrass Boys for coming out and playing with me. Fiddlin' Scott, Jimmy Wolling, and Mr Savannah Tim Burke all came out and we had a great time! Also a big shout out to local band and Cafe Loco regulars Mr Wiley, who closed out the day just right: with people yelling for MORE :) So many people got involved and helped make this benefit a HUGE succcess! All the folks from Fannies, the Crab Shack, Debbie at Atlantic Beacon Gallery, Kevin Allen, Al and Marie, Frank and Laura, anyone who donated or volunteered: THANKS!!! I spoke with Joel, and he is looking forward to opening ASAP, and he is already talking about the opening day PARTY
That's right, I recently was runner up for "Best Acoustic Act" in CONNECT, here in Savannah. First time i've ever gotten anything from a contest, and i didn't know anything about it! Joe Nelson, who is a very well respected fiddler here in Savannah was the winner, and it is an honor to have my name mentioned next to his! Joe plays the good old time music, and besides the fiddle, he plays mandolin, banjo, ukulele, and guitar. Many thanks to all of you who voted!!! Also a big shout out to Jim Reed, who always supports me from CONNECT.
Thats right folks. If you'd like a copy, just check out the "buy" section. CD Baby is a GREAT store where you can listen to samples, read album info,etc... Now there's no excuse to not own a copy!
